Imatikast 400mg Tablet is prescribed by the doctor to treat multiple types of blood related cancer and disorders. It mainly treats Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML), Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST), Philadelphia Chromosome-Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Ph+ALL).

Imatinib blocks the abnormal BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase that is responsible for cancer cell growth and proliferation. It binds to the mutated BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase that inhibits further signaling of cancer progression. As a result, cancer cell eventually dies.
